I took my first yoga class yesterday. 🦋 After months, actually years of wanting to take a yoga class, I finally took one.
Last week I shared with you the concept of JUST BEGINNING. Just taking a small step in the direction of what you want. I received wonderful responses from many of you saying that really resonated with you, that it was just what you needed to hear. And while I fully appreciate that feedback, it made me realize that there is something I want you to know.
I wrote that piece for me.
I needed that reminder.
I’m glad it may have helped you. My desire is to serve. But as I evolve, I also still struggle. I have insights, I transform, I learn new things, I fail, I take steps backwards, I repeat the same mistakes. But now I do it with a new level of awareness and acceptance. I’m *less* judgmental of myself. I move through tough spots maybe a bit faster than before. I recognize that my experience is created by my thinking. I understand that I always have a choice. AND I can still create a million excuses for why I can’t go to that yoga class.
One of the most wonderful things about this yoga class was that the instructor began with teaching us the word atha, which means now. Her translation and teaching was about bringing presence to the things that are valuable to us. Instead of letting fear and doubt, questions of worthiness, lack of time or money keep us from being who we want to be, pull that self into the now. We really only have the present moment. The past is gone and the future doesn’t exist. Where could you be bringing more presence to what matters to you now?
What beautiful synchronicity to encounter in my first yoga class at the same time that I’m creating my small coaching group - Action Creates the Impossible. Because that’s exactly why I’m creating it! So you can quit ignoring the things that matter to you and putting off those desires you see way in the future.
✨Bring them into your present, create them now. ✨
